Tenterden Tigers have come home to start their 2010/2011 season in Tenterden. It has been a pleasure to see the centre of the town buzzing with lots of little footballers playing on the recreation ground and the Tenterden Pitch. Tenterden Town Council have been very accommodating in ensuring that Tigers can continue playing their football and the club are very grateful in their support. The club looks forward to the developing links between all the community resources that support the Tigers.
Tenterden Junior School continue to be a fantastic and solid foundation for the club, allowing our training and our U9 and U7 to play their matches on their grounds. We are also grateful to High Halden Parish council who have agreed to allow our U10’s to play their home matches on their grounds.
One of the areas the club is particularly benefiting from is the developing relationship between the Tigers and Tenterden Town men, we can now evidence the young players of Tenterden moving from the Tigers to the Town club, this is exciting and beneficial to all and it ensures the continuing growth of both clubs. Tenterden Tigers would like to thank Tenterden men for their support and particularly Stuart who has been a solid link and supporter across the two clubs.
We still believe that one day Tigers will have a homeground and achieve a real sense of belonging, several directors of the club work tirelessly behind the scenes to try and achieve this, although often frustrating and sad that we cannot accommodate the growth of the club due to the lack of resources we totally appreciate the support of all the local communities and parishes that support us and continue to ensure our survival. This year we have secured all our sponsorship within Tenterden and St Michaels from local businesses and community groups and we are always overwhelmed by the support and appreciation our local community give to us. We hope you enjoy our website and this season we will try and put some of our results and match reports on the web.

Our junior
football club is run by a large group of local volunteers for
the benefit of youngsters of school age within Tenterden and
the surrounding villages.
The 'core' team of volunteers give up anything upwards of 4 hours
per week of their time for much of the year, whilst a smaller number
of club personnel are currently devoting closer to 20 hours of
their time each and every week to the strategic development of
the club..

Tenterden Town Football club and Tenterden Tigers Junior footall club are committed to promoting and supporting football being played in the town from all ages with the ethos of providing football from cradle to grave. Tenterden Tigers and Tenterden Town have formed strong links to secure the football of the town. Age groups from 11 years and over are now regularly playing on the Town pitch alongside the adults. A pattern of training is developing where the older age groups are having time working alongside Tenterden Town in preparation for the tranisition from playing youth to adult football.
The two clubs are becoming a united bridgade to ensure that adequate provisions are maintained in the town regarding the football facilities. It is hoped in future years the 2 clubs can benefit from larger facilities which will meet the needs of 20 teams representing Tenterden and registration of approx 380 members between the 2 clubs.
