Angley School – A Sports College, in association with Tenterden Tigers Junior Football Club and The Tunbridge Wells School Sports Partnership have recently received funding from the Football Foundation over three years to set up a girls football centre in Cranbrook, Kent
Although football is the fastest growing sport for girls in the UK, there are currently limited opportunities for girls to play in the Cranbrook area. The centre is for girls in Year 3 and 4 at primary school that are interested in playing football. Girls in Year 5 or 6 who would be interested in attending should also please make contact so that we can establish demand in that age group. All abilities are welcome and no previous experience is required to attend. All sessions will emphasize age appropriate skill development and introduce football in a fun and challenging way. Coaches will be FA qualified and CRB checked.
The first block of sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 4-5.30pm at Angley School throughout the summer term; April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, June 5, 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. For further details or to request an application form, please contact Miss Jo Heath (TWSSP Competitions Manager).
